FIEND WITHOUT A FACE I, 2022
Ceramics, enamel
Size: 28 x 32 x 42 cm
If we look up the deffinition for fiend we will find two contrasting meanings. One, “an evil spirit or demon” and the second “someone who likes something very much or is very interested in something”. In these sculptures I wanted not to show the demon itself but rather the effect of a this demon. The scuulpture looks like remain of an animal’s head overgrown by thin strands reminiscent of coral, crystal blooms or an expanding network.
