Syntax Error

August 2023- Januari 2024 Til Richter Museum Bugenhagen

Jeroen Cremers
(b. 1972, lives and works in Berlin and Grasse, (France) is our 2023 Rising Stars Residency artist. On the MainStage he presents a show drawing on his residency work at the museum this spring and on work from previous years, giving you a very good impression of the wide range of his oeuvre, from ceramic sculptures to collages, bronze heads, and cardboard and styrofoam pieces.

The show is entitled “Syntax Error.” Looking at the disjointed headless figures or disembodied heads brings up associations of syntax errors, not only in genetic mutations but also in the societal structure exerting its power on the individual.
